white 48 – 52 degrees
red 62 – 65 degrees

Five Years ago there were NO wine blogs. Today there are so many that not one, but TWO, conventions for Wine Bloggers are held; one nationally and one internationally.

It is estimated that 2 – 5% of all wines opened have serious faults attributed to the cork. It is for this reason that winemakers are now experimenting with different types of closures like synthetic corks and screwcaps. You absolutely CAN buy good wines with screwcaps.

There are now over 2,900 wineries just in the state of California.

The juice of ALL grapes is white. Red wine gets its color from sitting on the skins for some length of time. Rose wine would be red wine if it wasn’t pulled off the skins earlier.

Women account for 55% of all wine purchases in the USA.
