NJ FOODIES

That’s the blog home of F. Scott and Zelda who cover the food and wine world of Central Jersey with style and class.

To those of us in South Jersey, the area that makes up Central Jersey has always been a bit of a mystery. It’s been easy to define North Jersey, the land of Yankee and Giant fans, the mortal “enemy” of the South. Central Jersey is much more complex. It’s not even likely you could get two South Jersey folks who would agree on what towns comprise Central Jersey. Here’s a little quiz to prove my point.

Place each of the following locals in North. Central, or South Jersey:

A. Great Adventure

B. Woodbridge

C. Princeton

D. Asbury Park

E. Monmouth

F. Bordentown

G. Exit 8A on the NJTP

H. Rutgers University

I can’t even tell you if you chose the right regions because I’m not totally sure myself! Anyway, my point of this post is to direct you to another blog that I think you will enjoy. F. Scott does great reviews on restaurants big and small. His descriptions of some of the wines that he and Zelda enjoy will having you searching for those special bottles.

Do yourself a favor and wander over to their blog. You’ll thank me for the heads up.

  1. Absolutely awesome! Thanks a million, and I will definitely cross reference you on our BLOG as well this week when I get some time to write! This week should be busy with it being a short week, even thought it will feel long! LOL! But I will make some time to write as well.

To your readers, we definitely drink a lot of wines that are accessible, however, I do not always write about them…but I try to. I will forewarn a lot of you that you’ll see me writing a lot of reviews on “boutique/cult wines,” aka wines that are in small production, hard to access, and in a ot of cases are mailing list only wines. Some of these mailing lists may take YEARS to get on to, as these wines have their followers. Some wines that come to mind include Sine Qua Non, Scarecrow, Bryant Family, Kosta Browne, Sea Smoke Cellars, Quilceda Creek, etc, etc. I could go on easily name over 100 wineries, but I will spare you the details.

Regardless thanks again for the plug, and I will return the favor soon. For those of you who decide to stop on by, welcome, and we hope that you come by often! My goal is to write 5 times a week, which sometimes works, and other times does not, but what can you do? Nonetheless, I look forward to you all stopping by, and thanks a million! Cheers! F. Scott

  2. F Scott and Zelda do a great job with their blog. And I am enjoying yours as well. Great to see more South Jersey foodie folks joining the conversation.
